The following information is about Active Server Pages (ASP).
Active Server Pages (ASP) Defined
A visual-basic based language to provide enhanced and dynamic functionality to static HTML pages. Since ASP runs entirely on the server, there are usually less cross-browser problems. Like Java and JavaScript, older browsers don't support ASP. Unlike Java and JavaScript however, there is no way to "turn off" ASP functionality in newer browsers.
